What I encounter the most frequently in relationships that do not function well is that both parties are focused on being right. Usually, the other is at fault and therefore must change. But since the other feels exactly the same, you reach an impasse. Both parties feel unheard or unseen, and where the relationship began with a strong feeling of “we,” there is now a feeling of “me against you.” In relationship coaching, we will see how to better communicate and gain a clearer understanding of each other. The coach guides the conversation, ensuring that both parties are heard and have the opportunity to grow closer to one another.
